Hello, mods!

You all know by now that The Order is here to lend you a Phoenix or two should you need any help. We thought in case there was some uncertainty with how to go about asking for assistance, this form and the following guidelines might be useful. :)

What can I ask help with?

We are more than happy to talk big picture strategy with you guys, and even work with you on Projects (with a capital "P"), so long as you've run them by your HiH mod and you've been given the go-ahead. For those discussions, please don't hesitate to email us at hih.ordermod@gmail.com, and we'll talk through what we can do.

But running communities isn't always about the Great Big Vision. Sometimes, there are the tiny things too. In the past, Phoenixes have done things like pinch hit for the Daily Prophet and make category banners for Hogsmeade. We're more than happy to assist you in similar ways, even if it's something as simple as posting reminders on Twitter or showcasing community submissions on Tumblr.

Our guidelines for tasks:

• It is a one-time project
  
• It can be done by one or two people for a few hours
  
• It is outside your normal mod duties
  
• But it will help enhance your community for one reason or another (i.e., make it more organized, etc)

Obviously guidelines are just guidelines -- if real life is in the way and your HiH mod is similarly indisposed for one reason or another, we'd be happy to jump in as well (but we'd probably hear about it from the HiH mods in that case).

What can't The Order help with?

There are a few things that are out of our reach as Order mods:

• Submitting points for you (we just don't have access)
  
• Counting points for activities you are supposed to run (unless there is a real-life emergency and we are asked by HiH mods)
  
• Other things normally associated with your modly duties

Activity: Newbie Scavenger Hunt
Points: No points, but lots of goodies instead! If you complete:
1-5 items: A custom sigtag.
6-10 items: Sigtag AND a gift from the Street Peddler in your vault.
11-14 items: Sigtag AND a gift AND your house robes.

Details: For newbies only! Find/do the 15 items below (you don't have to do them all, but the more you do the more goodies you receive) within 2 weeks of your sorting. That's it. :P

First of all, welcome to HiH! We hope you like where you got sorted, and if you're feeling a tad surprised about it, we encourage you to look around and give it a go! HiH Houses are like family around here, and here's your chance to earn them points toward the House Cup. Just do the following items and submit them using the form provided below.

Getting Settled:
1. Register for a vault in The System. What vault number did you pick?
2. Purchase an item. Any item. (A bonus item is best, but it can be anything you like, really.) What was it?
3. Name your house prefects and how you can contact them if you have any problems.
4. Name all five HiH Head Mods and how you can contact them if you have any problems.

Your House:
5. Introduce yourself to your common room. Link us to the introduction.
6. Your house should have a birthday log. Give us the link and feel free to add yourself to it.
7. Get yourself a Pirate/Knight/Viking/Vampire name. What did you pick?
8. When was the last time that your House has won the Cup and who were its reigning prefects?
9. Link to an interesting guide you found in-house.

Around the Comms in Six Questions:
10. Order a sigtag from a Flourish shop! (Any sigtag. You can order up to 10, you can order from more than one shop, but you need to link us to one order you place.)
